Social Services

Below are some of the social services programs available in Westminster. The Town of Westminster supports social services through annual budget appropriations.

Bellows Falls Area Senior Center

The center has a wide variety of services available for senior citizens from transportation, meal programs, activities, clinics, and social services.

Early Education Services

Provides parents and children a variety of individualized services to match their particular needs. In addition to providing services to families, Early Education Services offers information on other programs and resources in the community that provide support for families and individuals.

The Gathering Place

Provides and advocates for adult day and community-based services for elders and adults with disabilities. the Gathering Place offers respite, support and education to caregivers.

Green Mountain RSVP & Volunteer Center

Matches volunteers age 55 and over with important work in non-profit organizations, schools, libraries, and hospitals. Both the community and the volunteers are enriched by the experience. Retired seniors, Baby Boomers, all individuals willing to share some of their time are warmly welcomed.

Health Care & Rehabilitation Services (HCRS)

Is a major community mental health agency, providing comprehensive services for mental health and substance abuse issues to community members across Windsor and Windham counties.

Our Place Drop-In Center

Serves free breakfast and lunch and offer free groceries in our food pantry.  All are welcome!

Parks Place Community Resource Center

Hosts many health, human service, and education programs that are otherwise only available in Brattleboro or Springfield.

Westminster Cares, Inc.

Works with seniors and disabled adults in Westminster, Vermont to help them remain healthy and independent in the community.

Windham County Humane Society

Non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of animals and enhancing the relationship between individuals and pets through adoption, education, advocacy, compassion and promotion of animal welfare.

Windham County Youth Services

Mission is to provide programs and services that promote the healthy development of local youth and families and help them gain the skills necessary to lead constructive lives within the community.

Women’s Freedom Center

A non-profit domestic and sexual violence organization.
